This vexel's been sitting on my computer for about a year now. I started the lineart, but dropped work on it because of my move from high school to college, and then forgot about it. I was cleaning out my hard drive when I found it and decided to start work on it again. Most of it was finished a few months ago, actually. I was trying to figure out what to do for a background, and settled for the simple border after all that time.

It's a departure from the other vexels I've done before (which I have never uploaded), because I hadn't tried lineart before, and I was in love with piling layer after layer on for a hyper-realistic look. So, for this one, I scaled back the layer count and put myself in the mindset of what I'd do if I were creating a non-vexel piece, in terms of choosing what colors to use.

With that said, this might be one of my last vexel pieces. I want to focus on a bit more traditional mediums.
